Supervisor Aging & Disability Resource Center

Supervise all activities of assigned staff (6-8 Options Counselors) as one of two supervisors in the Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of AIHS. This is an expansion position. ADRC staff provide information, referral, assistance, and short-term case management to clients at office (on phone or in-person) and at client's residence. Provide options counseling/case management services to clients in absence of options counselor/case manager.

Performs quality assurance activities on files, phone calls, visits, packets, etc to ensure timeliness and accuracy according to department standards, agency protocols, and all applicable laws. Must possess knowledge of community resources to support older adults, persons with disabilities, and family caregivers. Must possess above average skillset on tools required to perform job tasks including specialized computer software.

Required Education and Experience

The degrees listed here are a requirement of the State of Indiana to achieve Division of Aging Case Management Certification: Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in social work, sociology, counseling, psychology, gerontology, nursing, or health and human services; or Bachelor’s degree in any field with minimum of two years full-time, direct service experience with the elderly or disabled (includes assessment, care plan development and monitoring); or a Registered Nurse with one year’s experience in human services; or a Master’s degree in a related field may be a substitute for the required experience. Must possess and provide annually valid driver’s license and documentation of current automobile insurance.
